Working as infertility specialists in every area of a fertility clinic requires commitment, compassion and expert skills
The success and comfort of our patients are the most important things to all of us at Conceive NJ. And while our expertise in all aspects of infertility medicine brings clinical success to the patients who trust us with their care, it is the people who provide that care who are responsible for any measure of success for both our team and our patients.
Infertility can be a trying field to work in. Struggling to be a parent is stressful. It’s also stressful for those working to help patients achieve parenthood. There are failures, disappointments, taxing treatments and doubt along with the hope.
Why work in infertility medicine?
Why do the people who go into fertility medicine do so? We asked two of our staff members to answer those questions, so our patients can know what drives these professionals to help their patients achieve the family they desire but often seems out of their reach.
The following are the thoughts of Practice Manager Suzanne O’Reilly and IVF Lab Director Dr. Bryan Kloos. They represent both the administrative and the clinical side of our fertility practice.

Why did you choose to work in infertility and why at Conceive NJ?
Suzanne O’Reilly
I chose to work in infertility because helping people build their families is one of the most meaningful journeys you can be part of. Fertility care is so much more than medicine: It’s about hope, resilience and walking alongside patients during some of the most emotional moments of their lives. Being part of a team at Conceive NJ allows me to support patients in a very personal way, making sure they feel heard, cared for and never alone on their path to parenthood.
Dr. Bryan Kloos
My journey into reproductive science was driven by a deep interest in embryology and the potential to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Working in infertility allows me to combine scientific rigor with compassionate care and Conceive NJ’s patient-centered approach aligns perfectly with my values.
What do you like most about what you do?
Suzanne
What I love most is the relationships we build with our patients. In fertility care, we often get to know people over weeks or months, sometimes longer, and we become part of their story. Watching someone come in feeling overwhelmed or discouraged and seeing them leave with renewed hope – or celebrating their success with them – is incredibly rewarding.
Bryan
I find great fulfillment in the precision and complexity of laboratory work, especially knowing that each step contributes to helping patients build their families. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that supports such a personal and transformative journey.
What is your approach and care philosophy working with infertility patients?
Suzanne
My philosophy is simple: Treat every patient the way you would want a loved one to be treated. Fertility treatment can be emotional and sometimes overwhelming, so compassion, patience and clear communication are essential. Every patient’s path is unique, and my goal is to make sure they feel respected, supported and cared for every step of the way.
Bryan
I believe in transparency, empathy and excellence. Even though my role is behind the scenes, I strive to ensure that every procedure is performed with the highest standards, knowing that patients are placing immense trust in our work.
What are you most proud of in your experience serving infertility patients?
Suzanne
I’m most proud of the trust our patients place in us. When someone chooses to share such a personal journey with our team, it’s a responsibility I take very seriously. Whether it’s celebrating a positive pregnancy test, hearing about a baby being born or simply helping someone feel stronger during a difficult moment, those experiences stay with me and remind me why this work is so special.
Bryan
I’m proud of the consistency and quality of care we provide, and of the many successful outcomes we’ve helped achieve. It’s especially meaningful when patients return to share their stories and express gratitude – it reinforces the importance of what we do every day.
Final thoughts on why we work in infertility
We are constantly working to improve both the success of our patients and their experiences with staff members. In achieving this objective, it is essential that we learn from our patients about the experiences they have with our clinical and administrative staff.
